This is the first time I have discovered a reference in the newspapers to the Prep's athletic program. The by-line is Fr Hugh Pates, C.P. We certainly had one. Even in 1963, we competed in basketball league play. There is a picture of our team from that year in our Who's Who section of this site. We had a very active intermural competition in football as well, first it was the high school versus the college. When there were no more college students, it became the seniors versus the underclassmen.

Fr Hugh's approach to documenting this was detailed and descriptive, naming the students and their accomplishments and shortcomings (especially at the free-throw line).
